Our journey of sustainability starts with Sustainably Sourced, Ethically Grown* raw cane sugar from sugar mills assessed against an internationally recognized standard†.

We bring the raw cane sugar to our Toronto waterfront plant to craft into our range of products. Here, we’ve reached 98% waste diversion from landfills across our Toronto operation, with a target of 100%.
We’ve also achieved the GreenCircle Certified Sustainability Facts label at our Toronto plant, for efforts including waste diversion from landfills and reducing carbon emissions and energy usage.
More than 80% of our freight activity (that means moving our finished sugars around Canada) is done by SmartWay®-certified carriers. They’re committed to reducing emissions and saving fuel, and that’s good for everyone.

Sometimes, less is more! By converting our 2-kilo paper bags from double-ply to single-ply packaging, we’ve helped reduce paper use by more than 110,000 pounds (over 50,000 kg) a year. You could say, we’ve got this sustainability thing in the bag!
